Belonging: Restoring Self, Soul, and Spirit in an Age of Isolation
Belonging is the title of Dr. Hull’s doctoral dissertation research, and it represents the culmination of a participatory research project focused on uncovering and understanding the power of community group situations to heal major traumas. Taking an in-depth look at a spiritually oriented (but not religious) community group in post-9/11 New York City, Dr. Hull discovers that there are many reasons, both tangible and not-so-tangible, why community is so important in the lives of modern city-dwellers. This book reveals the importance of creating a sense of belonging, listening, and connection in order for people to feel fully alive, to grow and thrive in today’s harried world.

Lessons in Life-Shifting: The Portfolio Life
Do you remember how life played out when we were kids? Most days were made up of a little of this and a little of that: a little time at school, a little time at play, a little time with mom/dad and maybe siblings, a little homework or TV, and lots of sleep. Even at school as a child, the day was chopped up into a series of multiple adventures: arts and music, math and science, reading and maybe physical education or sports. There was no one activity that predominated: we lived what I have come to call, a "portfolio life."

In response, Dr. Hull shares his thoughts on what an inspiring and innovative conference on business growth just might look like. The emphasis here is upon growing, not the business, but the people in it!
